OUTFRONT MEDIA'S CANADIAN BUSINESS PARTNERS WITH LEADING CANADIAN DESIGN MUSEUM, DESIGN EXCHANGE.
New York, September 28, 2017 - OUTFRONT Media Inc. (NYSE: OUT) today announced that its Canadian business has partnered with Toronto's Design Exchange to support its Expo for Design Innovation and Technology (EDIT).
OUTFRONT Canada is donating a significant amount of media space and time to promote the event, which runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8 and will take over 150,000 sq. ft. of an abandoned factory, transformed into modern exhibition space in Toronto's East Harbour.
"Our partnership with the Design Exchange and the EDIT expo is a natural fit," says Michele Erskine, CEO Canada. "Effective out-of-home starts with great design - this applies to both the advertising content and the out-of-home structures themselves. OUTFRONT Canada's focus is on innovation and technology. I'm looking forward to EDIT and encourage everyone to attend this ground-breaking event - it will inspire you."
"Design is impacting all levels of humanity at all hours of the day," says Shauna Levy, President & CEO of the Design Exchange. "Our partnership with OUTFRONT Canada will allow us to spread the achievements of the industry and ultimately inspire the minds of future generations."
Billed as "The festival of the future," EDIT showcases design ideas capable of transforming and solving critical societal issues such as poverty, sickness and hunger. This year's event features 50 exhibits, 125 speakers and 40 workshops.
The partnership also includes plans to engage Design Exchange's partners to develop innovative out-of-home solutions, competitions for Canadian design students and OUTFRONT's continued support of Design Exchange initiatives.
